Powerful Non-Profit Campaign Recruits Trees To Highlight Deforestation

Whatever way you look at it, this is a brilliant piece of marketing that is bound to get the issue of deforestation in the spotlight. Wanting to highlight the plight of deforestation around the world, OroVerde needed a way to highlight the issue, but instead of recruiting a team of people to hand out flyers and promote awareness, the organisation decided to enlist the services of those directly affected by the issue: the trees themselves.

Across an entire city (presumably the city of Bonn as that’s where OroVerde is located), trees were fitted with cardboard signs which made it look like they were holding them. The idea is that seeing those directly affected by an issue will make people more likely to help out and by creating a small army of recruiters, OroVerde’s donation army, the campaign stood out and left a powerful message to those who caught sight of the trees. Genius!
