The best customer service response on Twitter

It’s great when you see brands able to have a bit of a laugh at themselves and be completely personal when using social media. And that’s exactly what Smart Car did when they received a tweet from a user stating that he ‘saw a bird crapped on a Smart Car. Totaled it.’

Not willing to take the accusation lying down, Smart Car replied:

This is pure genius from Smart Car, that goes to show the human side of social media and the importance of being able to have a laugh and going that extra mile (ahem) to talk to your customers. So far, they’ve had 391 retweets of the original post, which is a pretty good record for a brand on Twitter anyway, let alone for just one tweet in response to a lighthearted dig.
