7 Of The Most Shared And Innovative Marketing Youtube Videos From 2012

Brands around the world are tapping into Youtube to help launch products and raise brand awareness. There are millions of videos out there, but every once in a while, one comes along that is so special that it turns into a viral hit that is shared all over the world.

We’ve picked seven videos released so far this year that we like the most to share with you here and give you a bit of marketing inspiration. Surprisingly, there are three dance videos on the list which shows that just when we all thought the flash mob was dead, several smart brands have been able to re-invent it and think of news ways of doing it.

Also, it has been the year of the huge real world stunt with lots of videos taking over whole square’s or city centers. Surprise Dance on Finnair Flight

Finnair obviously wanted to tap into the Indian market when they asked about 50 air hostesses to jump into a flight and start dancing in the aisles to help celebrate a national Indian holiday. Flash mobs can be predictable, but you can’t help having a huge smile on your face after watching this one.

Flash Mob From The Copenhagen Philharmonic Orchestra

Flash mobs have been making a bit of a comeback in recent weeks. The latest one comes from Denmark where the Copenhagen Philharmonic Orchestra gave people on the subway the shock of their lives with a brilliant concert. One that will get shared all over the world in the next few days.

Officially The Best Car Launch Ever

We have featured the dancer Marquese Scott here before when he released an insane video at the great wall of China. Now, in an inevitable move, a brand has swooped in to make the most of his talents and large online audience. Peugeot are launching their new car and simply asked him to dance in front of it. Apparently, there’s no visual effects or editing and this was all done in one take! Hard to believe, but by far the best car launch we have seen. Mesmerizing!

Around The World In 10 Days With Nike

Casey Neistat has had a couple of hits on Youtube recently (you can see one of his videos here), and hoping to tap into his fame, the sports brand Nike hired him to make short film for them. In a brilliant move that is sure to get this video even more attention, he took the entire budget and tried to see how quickly he could spend it by traveling all over the world. A beautiful and simple film.

Invisible Mercedes

Wanting to showcase the fact that its new fuel cell vehicle doesn’t give out any emissions, Mercedes decided that, instead of advertising the car and placing it in busy spaces, they would make it invisible through LED screens and a camera. The idea that since it gives out no emissions, it’s practically invisible to the environment.

A DRAMATIC SURPRISE ON A QUIET SQUARE

This stunt comes from Belgium and the name of the video on Youtube gives you some idea of what is going to happen: “A DRAMATIC SURPRISE ON A QUIET SQUARE”. The video starts with a button in the center of a quiet square that is begging to be pushed and when a man on a bike does, the real action starts with a series of crazy stunts. It involves the police, a semi naked women on a motor bike and a lot of guns.

“Death” By Flash Mob Highlights Bad Breath Campaign

Just when you think you have seen every type of flash mob, there is to see along comes French mint company Tic Tac with a brilliant new campaign that shows a whole city center ‘dying’ after smelling the breath of a passerby.
