Heineken Create Fantastic Guerilla Marketing Stunt For Football Fans

Beer companies are no stranger to original advertising, the most recent example being Carlsberg and their wildly successful guerilla marketing campaign in a cinema last year. Now, Heineken have followed by adapting the same formula with their latest campaign aimed at lovers of football.

The stunt involves numerous football fans who are travelling to a European football match. They check-in to a hotel but, unbeknownst to them, their room has another guest waiting for them to arrive: the Champions League Trophy.

You have to watch through it to get the full effect, but the reactions and subsequent joy from each fan is absolutely priceless and even if you’re not a football fan, the video is bound to put a smile on your face. The stunt was to help promote the Champions League Trophy Tour which brings the coveted cup across the world for fans to see before the final in May.
